Hey G'day people,
Is it possible to build a half gear? eg gear 50 teeth and I only wish to show 25 teeth the rest of the gear to be blank or any number of teeth and the rest to be blank? . Can this be built in Gearotic or would this be a manual edit of the dxf file?
Secondly is there any way to convert a .gprj file to current .gth?
Cheers and ty in advance.
Is it possible to make a half gear? and can a .gprj be converted to .gth?

Hi Stojan:
Sorry, but there is no conversion. To remove teeth you would have to modify the DXF's, but you can get some help by
saving a dxf of a gear, then right clicking the same gear on the tree and selecting "Strip teeth", then saving that gear as well.
By combining the two gears at the rigth spots you can strip a selectable number of teeth when modifying the gear. The stripped
gear gives you a baseline of the pitch circle to work with..
