importing dxf files

Post by Jerrywi »

good Morning;

I purchased some clock plans last year that were an electronic download in DXF file format
I was wondering if I can import their gears into GT workbench so that I can change the spoke style into GT spoke styles selection or any other editing I may want to do?

Thanking all in advance

What I have done in GM  is to draw the gear and spoke that I want to the size I want. Then save the file and import it into your cad program. Then delete what you don't want. Then copy the part that you do want. Next open the electronic dxf file. Delete the portion that you don't want then paste the spokes and hub from GM. Really easier than it sounds.
