I have seen a gear program that can do oddball shapes.
Not efficient but fun to look at.
Is there any way I can manipulate certain variables under "Non'-Circular" , "Cage"  etc to get me a square or rectangular type shape?

Try the "order" variables in the noncirc module. A 4th order ellipse is a square, a 3rd order is a triangle, the eccentric, the more squared
