Almost exactly what Gearotic does. Gearotic does it with horizontal slices rather than vertical , but that appears to only difference.
Nice video of it, I hadnt seen it done with disks in that format before... it probably is an efficient way to do it only for larger face
widths though.. I think... :)

Spotted this on the last trip over to China.
Gear grinding using the flat side of a tapered wheel.
The gear is rolled in relationship to it's DP or MOD, what is interesting is that it's rolled along an inclined plane equal to the PA of the gear.

Interesting, so their using the flat of the grinder as a rack tooth equivalent rather than a straight flute equivalent.
Same math, just a different Y axis position during the cut. Its interesting there are so many varieties of the shaving method..
