I've always had trouble saving as dxf. Did it or not?
I just designed 2 gears and tried to export them as dxf files and nothing happens.
Am I doing something wrong??
Thanks
Walt
exporting DXF
Re: exporting DXF
Hi Walt:
No, its not you, its a bit confusing. Youll find your gears in the GearData folder
under a subfolder the name of your project. (Unnamed Metric or Unnamed Imperial if there
is no project name).
It will only ask for project name if it hasn't yet got one, after that it just exports
silently. Check your options for the data folder name and location, and the
project name is in the title bar. ( That will be the name of the subfolder). The dxf
will be named automatically as the gearsname.dxf
If it doesnt export, it will give an error, if no error it exported to the default location.
Yell if this doesnt help, I'll explain in more detail.
Thx
