Clean new start ???

How do I get rid of old settings/project?  I am probably missing something obvious.
I did something wrong and want to start over from scratch.  I click on the "New" in the upper left corner.
I get an empty looking space but when I click on spur gear to start over, the old settings and gears are brought back.
I have hunted in the Gearotic folder and deleted anything that looks recent but no luck.  New ought to get rid of the old stuff except the inch/metric option.

  Gearotic remembers your last settings from session to session. Ive found over time
this is handy as you often are looking for similar gears and may forget
fraction gear modules just used. There is a trick to reset everything back to defaults,
just kill the program from the task manager.
  It checks on next startup to ensure it shut down properly, if it
doesn't, it will ask if you'd like to set everything back to default, this is to stop
the situation where a setting is rogue and causes a crash.

  I will make a note to add a "Reset to Defaults" on the menu in an upcoming version.
Ive made some long overdue color corrections on the stl's in gearotic, so a version is
likely for that within a couple of weeks. Ill see if I can add that feature for
the next release.
