Art I hope you will take a look at this web site where a guy designed a 3d printed harmonic drive gearbox. I am working on a scara robotic arm for a kinetic art project. https://howtomechatronics.com/how-it-wo ... ment-10963
While his design works well being 3d printed I hope that you can come up with a better design. It is a bit on the large size. I was surprised at how well the flex spline worked being 3d printed. Also I would like to see a 100:1 ratio. Here is a link to the gearbox running. https://youtube.com/watch?v=2weqGRR5ivc

Hi Dan:

I have looked into harmonic drives. They always seemed to be hard to make until all
the 3d printers showed up. :)

Ill give some consideration to this, they are similar to the recent cycloidic reducer in terms
of the compact nature of the reductions you can get, another configuration of them really..

Thx
