Fudging Bevel Gears

Art,
I told you once a long time ago that I seemed to remember from my apprenticeship that there was a way to fudge a bevel gear on the mill by rotating the dividing head and moving the table. You said that if I ever found the info to let you know. I found it in my 1943 edition of Gear Cutting Practice by Colvin and Stanley. I scanned the pages and hopefully I will be able to upload them.

Now that makes sense. A kind of hobbing done on the slant so to speak.. I wish John Stevenson was still around,
he would have liked that method..
