Hope these help. I've been looking at Woodward's Gearless Clock lately, and have some open tabs with discussions about building one. I haven't been able to find a lot about the math involved (although it seems to be related to the recent discussion of hypocycloid gears), just discussions about building them and links to books with high price tags:
