Art,

Fantastic....I have been waiting a long time for this,
I will try and incorporate it into one of my spinning wheels.....

I assume it is your take on a David C. Roy, mechanism,
is that correct?

Yours appears to be simpler and much easier to understand.

I have no idea how you figure this stuff out, but I really
appreciate all of your hard work.

You are a Godsend to us non-mechanical engineers.....

Thank you,
Richard

Richard:

Thx. This is my version of the dual rotational device David C. Roy uses in monarch, I couldnt figure out exactly how
his was done, so this trigger mechanism is my thoughts on how to do it. The only wrong way to do such a thing is if
it doesnt tick. :)

I'm not sure what an Orange Clockwork sculpture is so I did a Google search for "Orange Clockwork Sculpture".  Pretty funny!

Hi Richard:

Runs for just over an hour in testing. But the better you balance one like this to extend its cycle, the longer
you will get.

If you have more pins than 8- say 12 would it rotate slower and longer?

Dan;

The more pins you have the slower it rotates, in other words the less of a kick it gets between pins.

Dan:

Mimumum number is two for 180 degree push, max is enough room to trigger and angle of push will be 360/pins.
Might be hard to fit too many.. depends on build I guess. :)

Art,

I just opened Gearotic for the first time in a while.

Did my software upgrade itself, I had never seen ver. 4.92 before?

Where did the flourish stuff go to?

I am confused?

Richard:

Sounds like your using a old version of Gearotic. Latest version is 3.02 of  Gearotic Thoughts,
look for another icon in the folder. The program cannot upgrade itself, you likely are running the
older Gearotic 1.0.

Art,

Thanks...........I assume you use MM, is there any easy way to
change all your .crv and .dxf file to inches in Cut2D Desktop?

Art,

Ignore my last question:  I figured out how to convert mm to inches in Cut2D desktop.

I assume I can change your bottom plate to my own "hub" from
one of my spinning wheels, is that correct?  I guess I would have to tinker
with spring size and weights to achieve proper wheel spin.  Do you think
your set up would drive one of my two wheel spinners with a 40 inch diameter and 12 vanes
on each wheel?

Richard
