Hey Art G'day,

I hope I'm not bringing up a painful topic, but did your LaserGear module ever get off the ground?

Only reason I ask is that I just recently had given to me a 1000mm x 1000mm laser engraver, its only a 6w job.

Like all things now that I have one there is more interest and I'm looking at perhaps building a frame around it and going to CO2.

The idea of topographical work with a Laser caught my eye on your old thread.

Hi Steve:

Yes, Auggie is the program that does the 3d engraving from 3d greyscale images.
Several are running it, but it does require a Pokeys57 CNC board as hardware. Auggie is free
and must be installed over a demo version of Gearotic for its support files.

  Youll find quite a bit on this forum about peoples experiences getting it running for
them, the hardest part is getting your PWM to work properly, and a bit of study on how
to config the program. Works well though... :)
