Auggie Pokey57CNC PWM setup problems

Hello Art, I try to set up Auggie Laser with Pokey57CNC but I'm unsure how to set PWM.
I have a 5W laser capable of modulating 0-5 volts analog and TTL.
What I understood from the videos I will first Pokey configuration software to setup PWM, I have tried all possible settings but may not PWM work?
I can see that freeaxis 8 moves when the laser fires when pressing FIRE button but i cant se any change on pin 17 (galvanically isolated I/O)?
Do you use analog 0-10v on pin 17 from Pokey57CNC, or do you use another pin for PWM?
Best regards
Christer

Hi Christer,
If it's any help, the PWM signal is only available on Pins 18,20,21 & 22 (page 45 of the maunal referrs).

Hi Tweakie,
Thank you for answer :), if I understood correctly, also pin 17 is PWM, but is then converted to analog 0-10v.
So it's correct to use PWM from any of pins 18,20,21 & 22 instead of pin17?
p/s I know from other forums that you've come a long way with impact engraving, do you know if Auggie can be used for this too?
Best regards
Christer

Hi Christer,
My advice would be to ignore the 0-10VAnalogue (Pin17) and use the PWM signal (which is 5 Volt TTL) for switching your laser.
Yes Auggie can be used for Impact Engraving but I have some way to go before I get it just right. There is an example here;

Excellent.
(please don't forget to post some pictures of your set-up and the things you make).
