Gears connected with links

Post by BillM »

Hi Art

I've been looking at the videos in your youtube channel.  A couple of them caught my eye...Gearotica6 and Gearotica7.  These may have been created in an earlier version of your software.  The videos show gears connected with links that in simulation make it look like they are being driven by the linkages.

Another video  projectv2  shows adding a crank handle to a bevel gear.

Are these linkages and crank handles no longer part of Gearotics2.

Hi Bill:

They are only in Gearotic #1.

The module, was in my opinion badly written, so when Gearotic 2 was written it was left out
in favour of doing a future module properly. Of all the ideas on my request list, the top is
the reintroduction of a 4bar linakage module..

Hi Art

Thanks for the info.

I've been experimenting with the indicators feature.  I've run into a puzzling behavior when I insert the indicator that I am playing with.  I think the behavior has something to do with the the complexity of my tower clock simulation.  I'll continue analyzing my simulation.

I'll probably  write it up in a future topic.

Hi Art,
Do you think the 4bar module will be ready before your summer break - that would be nice.
