Hi Art,
I've been using the platting part of the program to give me the best possible arbor locations for an escapement, and I've encountered and intermittent problem and that is that the program isn't always giving me an arbor location for the escape wheel. The other arbors will all be correct with the pawl OK and all the downstream arbors but the escape wheel abor missing. (The escape wheel itself cuts fine) The missing arbor doesn't appear either in the Project Screen nor in the Gcode. Unfortunately I can't reproduce it on demand. Shall I wait until it happens again and send you the Gcode? or maybe you don't need it.
The problem with spokes continues and you said you were working on that so I only mention it here since the two might be related in some way.

Re: Plates for Escapements
Hi John:
The spoke problem seems to be realted to conditions that cause one spoke to overlay another slightly, it causes a failure
in extrusion. Ive fixed that in the new code but I cant port that fix back to GM. Im seeking another solution for that.
Let me know if you can find a common way to produce the plating error, I cant seem to make the hole fail here, but Im
sure its related to the display list code. Those small bugs in GM are getting hard to find whihc is the real impetus in redoing all
the code to a new GUI and database. IT will allow easier bug correction as well as new capabilites like gears running around
other gears.. Im working on that rotation now. Once thats done, Ill be moving the creation code over to the new code and at that point the new code will become GM 2.0 , fully revised and well be able to correct most of the buggy responces to some situations as well as give much better output control so you can see why somethign failed if it does.

Re: Plates for Escapements
John;
Does this happen on both grasshopper's and Graham or only one of them? Been trying to reproduce issue here, appears to work fine using latest revision 4.881.
Cheers

Re: Plates for Escapements
I can't repeat it!!
If I do I'll save the gCode and send it along.
I didn't try with the grasshopper.
