Chrono Trigger Pallet

Post by John T »

Hi Art,
I'm cutting a 4 inch 20 tooth dead beat Chrono lock and the pin on the trigger pallet doesn't have tool paths showing on the project screen and GT doesn't generate gCode for the pin hole.

A second item that isn't really a bug but more of a suggestion - for each component of the Chrono Escapement GT reverts the the default 0.5 inch thickness - It would be nice if it defaulted to the last thickness you used since all the components are the same thickness.  Just a thought.

Having fun!!

Hi John:

I uploaded a fix. First, the depth was a bug. ( The pin hole isn't, it wont create a path if the tool is too large, the pin is likely too small for that tool. )

The main reason for this update is the graphics. When I swapped to Imperial to check a 4" escapement, I got weird lines on my gears and objects.. In tracing I found it was the orthogonal limits, which were 9999,-9999 for the Z axis, works fine in Metric, but I got bad artifacts in imperial. Changing them to +- 100 for inch usage fixed the problem, so if you've had weird shadows on your objects this upgrade should fix it. Its a problem that I always work in Metric, it means I often dont see things you see in inches.. sorry for that bug if indeed anyone else was affected. Could'a just been me.

Thx
Art
