Srange Simulation

Post by John T »

Hi Art,
I opened an "older" file that has a ring (stripped circular gear) five pawls and the ratchet gear.  The pawls were added one at a time from the project screen.

When I go to simulate I had to change the cut order as it wanted to do the ring first.  That was changed on the post screen.  When I simulated the tool didn't follow the paths on the workbench and it only cut one pawl and then "stalled".

I'm not sure what I did wrong but I'm sure its not quite as you intended.

Hi Art,
On subsequent simulation - if I leave the view square on (no head turn) it works as advertised.  And if I turn with the head once the simulation has started there is no problem either it all works.  So I'm not certain its a bug or not, but I thought you might like to know.

Thanks John:

Ill look into it. The simulator seems to have stablised quite a bit, I know bugs still remain and this helps flesh them out.
Its amazing how complex it is to do right and all the working parts that have to come together. But Im, pretty happy so far.
:)

Thx
Art
