ToolBit Wizard
Re: ToolBit Wizard
Hi Ken:
No. It was felt when G2 was upgraded that the wizards output wasnt really that usefull and wasnt being used.
I do have on my list to add another after consulting with the group as to the most usefull design of such a thing.
I beiev that making your own tool may be usefull up to a certain diamter and for certain materials, but its probably
a bit dangerous as well, so I was hoping a discussion could ensue based on the expertise of people around
there that woudl know better than I as to thebest way to do cuh things.. I just havent gotten there as yet.

Re: ToolBit Wizard
Hi Art
I guess that accounts for why I couldn't locate it then :)
Just looked at a youtube and saw a unique way (to me) to create a cutter that should work well and quite accuratly for gear or cog belt tooth forms, CNC required though.
If you or others may be interested here is part one . part two can be picked up at part one.

Re: ToolBit Wizard
Hi Matt:
Yes. Two things, if you grind tools, consider using the profile from the DXF to make one, all DXF;s include a tool profile in them,
second, to get the original tool wizard, the downloads page has a link to the old gearotic, I believe its in there.
