Hi Art,
See the attached screenshots. In the first one you see the result when same face width is defined for wheel and pinion - actually the resulting wheel face width is much smaller.
In the second screenshot there is another bug, where teeth are aslo displayed on the face of the gear - actually they are seen on the back as well.

Re: Solid display bug with bevels
Thanks Art. Just found that the second bug only occurs with gears having tooth count of 10 or less.

Another one related to bevels: the DXF output of the bevel section (playing with epicycloids now) is not what is seen on the solid - proportions are different.

Re: Solid display bug with bevels
Hi Dan:
The dxf output for a bevel is really the blank output, so its shape is the envelope of the bevel. OR at least thats the idea. :)
I have seen this strangeness on the smaller bevels in testing, seems one of my routines must be rouding off the face
width for some reason. Not yet repaired, but on my list.
Thx

Yeah, that's the idea, but appears to be a bit different ;)ArtF wrote: The dxf output for a bevel is really the blank output, so its shape is the envelope of the bevel. OR at least thats the idea. :)
