Will not load G-code into machine

Post by RPMMachine »

I have a Tormach 1100, I did a test cut of a sprocket, worked perfect. When I went to load a new sprocket, it wont load, just blank, if
I go to change g-code screen on the mill, it shows the Gearotic 2 and the file name with lots of black boxs and null, few letters here and there.

The Gearotic 2 everything works it just wont load the code into the mill.

I really thing Gearotic is a super great program, and will be using it a lot, just need to figure this out.

Hi:

Im not sure I understand.. Is this that mach3 wont load the file for the second sprocket or that the sprockets file is blank?

Sounds like a strange symptom. Let me know which it is, or betetr yet send me the file if its a case of mach3 not loading... :)

The file does not load into Mach 3. If I go to the change G-code is shows some sort of code though.
It seens that Gearotic 2 program does not write the G-code for some reason.
I hope attached it is the file it should read Test 34

Hi:

You cannot load a gth file into mach3, you need the .tap fiole from the folder of that name in the geardata folder. Look inside the folder of the same name as the
.gth file.. you should find a .tap file there that will load into mach3.

Thank You So Very Much. All works perfect, in both Mills and the 4th.
Soon will send pictures of projects and gears I will be making. Thank you
again, for the quick help. A friend help set it up, he did it the right way,
I missed that step.
