Hi Art,
When I create a couple of gears and then use the boxing tab I get the box outline just fine but when I put the gears and the boxing on the workbench I don't get any shaft holes.  Not sure why.

John:

One of those weird ones  I guess, I find mine has shaft holes and they profile fine.
Can you post here a project with a box in the project and in the workbench , then I can debug it to
see what happened to the holes. :)

Thx
Art

Hi Art,
Only two gears and just the back for Boxing.  The shaft size in the gears is 0.125 and the end mill is 0.0625

Hope this helps.  The attachment is 6.2 megs so I'll email it.

John

PS if you attach something bigger that 4.5 megs you can't undo the attachment.

Hi John:

The problem is the way your using the boxing. Youve turned on only the front plate and made it 4" thick to cover
all the project. This is like putting both gears inside one plate. No holes appear because the program see's none are required.

DO this, set the thickness from 4 to .25, then turn on a rear plate as well. Set the project z to 4" and move the box around so that
there is a plate in front of the gears, and one behind them. Now the program will see 2 plates, one in front, one behnd and realize that
holes are required for shafts.

Thx
