I just downloaded the latest ver. with the slicer. I loaded the Example head into the program.
I noticed that the head is in metric but I had my program set to Inches.
How do I convert a metric file into an inch file. Or must I work in metrics ??

Dan:
STL' arent in metric or standard, they just are set to a size in units. The file says nothing about a measurment system.
So think of it only in units. If your units is inches and you load the compass, it will be 300 inches tall. ( If I load it, its 300 mm's tall. )
You need just to type a 3 in the XSize box and then hit scale and the head will switch to 3" tall.
All stl's work this way. Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know whats inside. So just scale any object to a size youd
personally like to work with. , if it makes you feel better, there a few stl's I load that are only 1.5mm's tall. :)
