Gearotic looking for TempData\BKO.dat

I'm just getting feet wet with Gearotic. Not really building anything, just messing about, but have run into a small issue. When I try to add a wheel to project, I get a message that \Gearotic\TempData\BKO.dat was not found.
Any suggestions ?
Thanks,
David

Hi David:
Gearotic\TempData\BKO.dat is a file name used by the system as it does autobackup's. If you didnt install in the default location of C:\ but instead installed in "program /files" this can happen. If you right click and select "Run as Admin" it should stop. It can also happen if your
license wasnt properly installed, so please check your help/about to be sure it has your name in it.
(I will also note this as a bug to be fixed this season.). Yell if you have any further trouble..

Nope, no luck. When you say "run as administrator", I assume you mean to right click on the Gearotic icon and select "run as administrator". I did that. And the licence appears to be installed.

David:
Does it add the gear to the project after the error?
Is the program installed as C:\Gearotic... or did you install to c:\Program Files?

The project is still empty.
It's installed in C:\Program Files (x86)

David:
I just uploaded a version that will kill those messages ( Just download the dev version), but be warned, unless you install it in C:\Gearotic as it wants to at install, Windows may refuse to allow the program to make backups required for the undo functions. Id get rid of the program files version, and install as the default C:\Gearotic Thoughts , you may run into trouble otherwise.. Over time Windows keeps changing where they stick data files and have now gotten to the point a program cant use its own folders for data, so I use C:\ as
the root folder for the program.
