"Encountered an improper argument" message

I am constantly getting the "Encountered an improper argument" message whenever I click on the Circular gear button... Non-circular, Cage and Functional all come up in the design window and seem OK.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled the program and that didn't change the error.  Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Susan5;

Sorry to hear your having issues, I'm not really sure what to tell you on the improper argument message your getting either, this is a first for me? I assume your using Win10 ? I will run this by Art, see if he's got any ideas on perhaps what it could be and I'll get back to you?

Cheers
Bob

I've been using the program for about 6 months without a problem on my Win7 system.  I was building a helical bevel gear and now I can't click on anything in the input window without getting the same "improper argument" message.  I uninstalled the program and deleted everything I could out of the C:\Gearotic Motion directory, then installed the newest version from the website but that didn't help.  Could there be something funky being stored in the registry?

Hi Susan:

  Its likely something like a zero is stored in the profile for somehting that shouldnt be zero.
To reset it, do the following..

  Run Gearotic.
  Run Taskmanager. ( Right click in the taskbar for it..)
  Kill the Gearotic.exe process in the taskmanagers process list.
  End taskmanager.

  Run gearotic, it will ask if youd like to reset the program .. tell it yes.

If that fails, let me know, we'll come up with a solution for you.

Thx
Art
