Re: 4th Axis Cycloidal

Post by Salvador Ruano »

Hello,

I think there is not much precision gear manufacturing a 2.5D due to the backlack error of each axis X Y, besides the problem of the size of router bits, flexible and easy to break.
I think you(Art) can get a simple algorithm tooth to tooth to 4th axis, a different algorithm for spur gears.

I also want to encourage Art Fenerty to program this type of gear to be cut in the 4th axis, we can think that many of hobbist make watches.

Thanks in advance. :)

Salvador
