OK laying out two pulleys in GT of the HTD 5 series.
Few problems, I need these at a fixed centre of 193mm
Draw one at 24 T and one at 32 T drag them apart but having problems getting 193mm exact.
Typing into the co-ordinate box doesn't work, eventually get close but not exact.
Display is hard to read in the font used.
Display is in radii not diameter as in GM
Even though it lists 24 and 32T it gives the ratio as 1:1.000 ?
Gives belt details in number of teeth but no idea of length ?
Or whether the number of teeth is a standard.
Alt F5 gave full screen the fisrt time but after moving the pulley again alt F5 didn't work again ? top icon works though.

Re: Pulley problems in GT
Hi John:
Problems noted and fixes underway for next release. The ratio shown was
1:1 for the shaft it drove ( of course all shafts drive at 1:1 so Ill likely remove that, but it
now lists all driven links and their ratio.
I do plan on adding back in the calculators soon, if you press cntrl and select two pulleys the teooth cnt is shown, but
not the length, I will address that, for an HTD5 for example is teeth x 5mm pitch. I dont think Ill be able to show standard
lengths very soon, but often thats a matter for idelrs anyway you just get the next length belt upwards..
Im still researching the font issue, seems different for everyone , Ill see if I can offer variable fonts,
but OpenGL foints arent very forgiving...
BTW: Its alt-5 , not alt-f5
Thx for the list, It in the works.

Re: Pulley problems in GT
Thanks for that Art.
Tried the pullies out using 193 as the centre distance and clicked enforce.
Got 192. something but its at an angle of 16 degrees ?
How do you drag a gear / pulley once dropped into the project list ?
Did you see the post below this on the gear shape ?

Re: Pulley problems in GT
Hi John;;
Hmm. OK. When you place a pulley, the first one will just place as its the master. If you try to lace the second and have selected enforce, then the program will go
to the project screen. You then click the first pulley ( or the first pulley in the project tree), the new pulley will then appear at the correct distance from the first.
You can then move it in circles around the fiorst to any angle, clicking again fill complete the placement.
TO re-place an object, click it and select the properties tab at the bottom, then press "move on shaft" or "move on gear." to set it in a new spot.
