Circular Spoke Behavior

Hello Art,
Just noticed something that I don?t quite understand. When working in GM with Circle1 spokes selected on a spur gear, I can play with the Rim, Leg and Boss ratios and adjust until the 4 round circles (spokes) are created that do not overlap each other. Works fine with any wheel diameter. When working in GT with the same 4 circles (spokes) created, I cannot adjust the overlap out so that the 4 circles just barely touch each other (minimal overlap). In GT, it seems okay when the diameter is less than 24 teeth. As more teeth are added, the circles then become distorted. Wondering if this is somehow related to a restriction placed on the grid size that appears behind the wheel?
Thanks,
Ron
