Why ??

You need to show a valid reason why and a commitment to make some and use them.
Art has enough on his plate doing mainstream modules and not following flights of fancy.

This happened over at mach 3
"Can we have this Art please I really need it. Art writes it and 6 months down the line someone unrelated to the original post tries it and it's broken and has been broken all the while but where is the OP ?

Is this what you want?

The advantage of herringbone gears is the elimination of thrust, but bevel gears would have thrust with or without herringbones, and besides, with modern materials and bearings, thrust is not a big deal.

If you really need this, maybe you could get creative with a 3D modeller, and knit together two pairs of spiral bevel gears?
