hmm.. That file should be deleted the first time GT is run.  This sounds liek a system security issue.. Have you tried running as admin?

( Anyone else having this trouble as yet?? ))

Thx

Loaded up fine for me .

can't see how you change a gear through once it's on the projects page.
right clicked a gear and selected strip teeth just to see what it did .
It stripped the teeth !!

Couldn't put the teeth back on though.

Also couldn't change a gear from say 14 teeth to 15 without deleting and staring all over.

Can't delete everything of the projects page, get left with one gear that is then hi lighted in red. then can't add anything to this gear at all and have to bail out.

Hi Guys:

For those that are getting the error about the .dat file, can you reinstall to the new default location of
C:\Gearotic Motion.... Im thinking you guys have been running GM so long you have a very old default location.

Ill fix this up in any event, but I suspect that will fix you up..

John:

>>can't see how you change a gear through once it's on the projects page.

You cant as yet. Its basically the same as GM in that regard. Youd have to delete that gear and replace it.

>>right clicked a gear and selected strip teeth just to see what it did . It stripped the teeth !!

LOL..yes, as it says. Its used when one wants to have a disk with spokes in it. ( I get that request quite often.)
or to show as a spool or whatever.

>>Couldn't put the teeth back on though.

Well it oes warn you of that. :-)

>>Also couldn't change a gear from say 14 teeth to 15 without deleting and staring all over.

Very true, at least for now. It will be coded in the end to allow such things, but as in GM, changing a gears size screws up
hundreds of things internally, its now do-able in GT..but I haven't as yet coded it.

>>Can't delete everythin g of the projects page, get left with one gear that is then hi lighted in red. then can't add anything to this gear at all and have to bail out.

I cant repeat that one yet. You DO have the icon on the top for "new project" dont you? Just press that icon, all gears will disappear.
If you NEED to change one gear it can be done ... you delete the gear in question, make a new one and mesh it to the one the old gear meshed to
then add a link to the new gear to make it drive what the old one drove. If the gear you added is larger, just select the one it drives and press "Move on gear", it will then update everything to fit again.

Thats all hard to explain, so Ill do a video of the process so you can see it..

Everything is default.

I am thinking it is a 32bit issue because it works fine on my 64 bit win8 OS
the dat file is created and the dummy file is gone after the add gear button selection.

but not on the 32bit win7 system for me

Hi Guys:

Thanks for the quick bug reports on this version. ReDownload...please. A serious bug was in there, old projects could not be loaded
, there was a variable size issue in a structure, this made things very sketchy ( and hard to find.) . A (bool) is supposed to be 1 byte dammit..

Anyway, its fixed, as is the tempdata issue. All shoudl work well now..

Thx

Hi Guys:

I did yet another update, its now online.

A new video on using some new features is online at

http://youtu.be/Z72IK0jn0nQ.

John:  This video shows how to change a gear, delete and remove and such, I get the
feeling Im missing something in your trouble because my workflow is different, yell if your
trouble with deleting and such isnt matching what Im doing...

Have fun

Option: Screen Message Time only works correctly set to 5 and below.

Change material color and then rename it changes the color back to default.
