4th Axis graphics showing the part setup along with some on-screen hints would be ok for me (until the rest is completed).  I'm mainly interested in having the code output for cutting.

One other thing: Would it be possible to make the timing gear belt dimensions persist on the screen?  The values are currently only visible while placing the pinion.

BTW, the new graphics engine is a definite thumbs up.

Randy:

YEs, I have added belt dim. as permanent to my short list.

I am lenig towards 4th basic system as next code to be done. It may have no simulator at first perhaps, but will
be able to show how to setup and show what the Gcode looks like.Cant promise, but Im leaning that way at least.

Thx

Hi Bob;

I'm just working on these indicators and spokes now, if you send me the shape your looking for perhaps I may be able to add it to the library list.

Cheers

Hi Bob,
If you're looking at indicators, I didn't see a typical "second hand" indicator.  Typically they are just a simple straight indicator, usually thin and fairly long.

Maybe I just missed it, if so my apologies.

Hello Art and Group,

I been playing around with GT this week and having a blast. Today I fired up the program and selected circle and got an error msg. :ERROR FOUND, GEAROTIC 801, ATTEMP RECOVERY? " I clicked on yes several times with no results. when I press NO the program closes down.

I've tried selecting the other options with the same results.

Any Ideas

Hi Jerry:

I think I have found and fixed that error, but it may not yet be
released. I will be doing another release soon though. You migth try
updateing just in case as I did release a version that should
have fixed that if its what I suspect it is. Let me know if a fresh
download fails and Ill get another version up as soon as I can if it
still screws up on you.

Good Morning Art;

I reloaded GT and selected circular and the same error message appeared.
I restarted GT and selected indicators and the program seemed to function.
I went up the selections from bottom to top, it appeared to function okay until I got to circular and selected the planetary option and added the gear. what appeared was a solid disk, no teeth.
I repeated the above several times with different DP sizes with the same effects.

I hope this helps and I'll wait for your revisions.

Thanking you in advance

Just doing final alterations on a new release for a few reasons, will be out today I think, perhaps in an hour or two.
Let me know if the new one fixes it ..

I 3D printed a set of helical bevel gears of the weekend.  The stl sliced without any problems, and the resulting prints meshed and rolled fine.  Other than a cooling issue that was my fault, and some funky support from slic3r, they were perfect.  Is the D shaped part of the hub for a setscrew, and will there be a way to add a hole for one (or more) to be he stl?

I noticed I couldn't add any spokes, but that saved me from deciding on one of the bazillion new types. :-)

Thanks!

Kirk:

Make sure you check under options.. Set the minimum radius for spokes to 1" from its probable 2" setting. It is fixed now but previous versions
saved it as 2", so only 4" or larger gears coudl be spoked...unfortunatley , once saved, its stored... :)

Downloaded and installed latest test version. GT no longer has the freezing issue.GM version shows as 4.900. Should it show 4.90.02? GT version shows 1.02.

Thanks,

Troy:

Sounds like all is well then for you. Version is fine, I often neglect the very minor number increases..

Thx for the report,
Stability is improving, Ill add more error codes for next release to allow me to tighten it down more.
