New version 1.19

Post by ArtF »

Hi Guys:

New version to correct a simulation bug with rotation of geneva's.

Also , for 3d printing, Bearings may now be made. ( See Bearing tool button.)

Take note, your 3d printer must be very good to print a working bearing, and near excellent to
use roller bearings. (Photo shows 4 working bearings from my Up! mini printer. ) , the roller
took some time to clean up, the ball bearings worked very quickly with not much cleanup. I suspect a powder printer
would be best for these.  :)

The screen allows you to set a tolerance, but I used .1 on the ball bearings and .3 on the roller bearings.
I made the module because I wanted to be able to make 2-3" OD bearings for wood projects and such that
would have the appearance of home built... Probably useless to most, but hey..it was fun.. . :)

Hi All:

Just a note, I updated the current version to correct a small CNC posting bug, and thenew version has Racks that can be created
on the non-circulars page. ( A rack being quite non-circular.. :) )

I havent finished tieing the racks in quite yet, but you can create them and post the models and code for them.

Thx

Hi Art,
I can generate a rack but no wheel to go with it - is that where you are at with the rack or is there a little bug?

Hi John:

Racks arent finished as yet for the simulation, you can create one for output, but you cannot join it with anything ( in your version anyway :) ), as yet. Next version will have more ability in using and simulating with racks.
