New Version.

Hi All:

V2.0 of GT ( or Gearotic2.0 as its named now, is online. )

I had a request for 4th axis on planetary gears, for the purpose of moulding them, so this is now enabled ,
and in the process I found some math issues with planetary involutes, that too is now fixed.
A new module "Boxing" is now released as well. I will release a video on its operation, its pretty simple,
turn on plates, select a perspective button on top to select a view plane and you can center the plates on that plane.
Plates can be machined in 2.5D only of course and DXF output as well.

You cannot change the shaft hole sizes that appear in the plates, but Im planning a new module "Decorate" soon to
allow one to modify most of the extrusion types in a cad like atmosphere which will allow individual shaft holes in such
things to be made arbitrary sizes.

Thx

Just downloaded V2.0 which is going to take over from GM ?
Well in GM you can select two timing pulleys and work the belt length out.

Can't see how to have more than one pulley on the screen in GT ?

John:

Select Pulley page. Press "Add to Project." , theres pulley #1. Select pulley tab again, press add to project again and your asked for either a distance, or to select "free placement mode". If you select free placement mode, then the screen shows the number of teeth on the belt for wherever your
moving the mouse to for placement.  You shoudl eb able to place any number on screen at once.

I can add the belt length to the calculator ...

In testing I found a bug where any boxes or plates on screen caused an error in trying to add more pulleys or place a master,
this has been fixed and reuploaded. Im sure a few small bugs remain and Ill be spending a few days tracking them down, so I will probably do more
updates over the next few days as well.

John:

Oh, one last point. While placeing the second pulley the distance and beltlength are on screen,
anytime after you may select two pulleys ( press ctrl while clicking just those two pulleys in the tree)
and the belt length is then also displayed on screen.

All our bad really. the new manual is in preparation, I know our current Doc just doesnt
cut it, and though few actually RTFM anyway, we will make sure we have one that suffices. :)
