Art, I've stepped away from Gearotic for a bit and am ready to come back and try designing.  I like the new tickers... that's a new approach to wall art.

I don't remember how to download the latest version.  Do I install a demo and it finds it on my computer?  Do I go through the purchase again?  I don't see the button in the gearotic software.  Sorry for the simple question.

David.

Hi David;

I may be able to help, simply go here  http://www.gearotic.com/downloads.html  , download Current Development 4.xx to your computer, install it, and that will upgrade you to the latest revision available. If you have a license key installed on your existing version, no need to do anything, Gearotic will automatically update it, nice and easy way for our once licensed, always licensed policy.

Cheers
Bob ;)

Thank you, Bob.  I followed the instructions and it looks like it worked.  But.. .I notice my version 4.24 still shows up.  Would it update to the latest version?  If so...it must not have worked.  I'm using the same computer I originally downloaded on so the license should be on it.  And the download did say it located a previous version and will update.

David.

David;

The only way I suspect you can show V4.24 is if you haven't physically installed Gearotic Motion Current Development 4.xx on your computer, or you've chosen a different folder location other than c:\Gearotic Motion. One way to check If you installed GM Current Development 4.xx on your computer, is you should see two desktop icons, one for Gearotic Motion and the other for Gearotic Thoughts, do you see both of these?

Cheers

I've got it now.  I hadn't changed the folder, and when I ran Gearotic it showed 4.XX (but only displayed 4.24 in the version).

However... perhaps it needed a reboot?  Because today it's updated.  Thanks for the help.
