Hi. I've been meaning to get to grips with Gearotic for a while, ultimately to design my own orrery, but I now have another, more immediate, need, which is to design a motor-driven steering mechanism for a (1/32 scale) model car.
Anyway, my question is: what is a good place to start? I'm familiar with 3D printing (FDM and SLA), for which I use Blender, I am computer literate; what is the best way to fill in the Gearotic-shaped gap in my knowledge before I dive in and make a frustrating hash of things?

Where should I start?
Re: Where should I start?
Hi Rob:
Gearotic isnt great at something like a steering mechanism, other than it can design the gears, or elliptical gears in that mechanism.
Were it me, Id use something like Fusion for such a project. Although using Vex and single extrusions you can make flat parts for
such a thing and add gears, but Gearotic is more for making the gears or transmission in a movement.
