Strip Teeth No Toggle

Greetings.
 I selected a gear in my project and wanted to illustrate the actual pitch circle. So I went Wire Frame and Strip Teeth which worked perfect for the demonstration. But then I can not get the teeth back on. That Strip button does not seem to toggle like the Wire Frame does.
Is there another way to get the teeth back ? Shouldn't the Strip button toggle also?

Hi Christian:

Sorry, but stripping teeth is a one way operation. All the gears, pulleys and so forth are
toothed by their various modules in their various ways, strip teeth is a comman that tells it to
throw away that data, it isnt kept. You can though, select the gear , right click and select
"send to design", this will set you up to remake the gear , you can then replace it on the screen,
though its a pain to do so as youd have to replace the linkages to put it in the originals place..

Perhaps I will just make a separate smaller project just for the illustration and not strip anything from my main project.
