Set Time of Master Rotation

Hi again Art;

The "Set Time of Master Rotation" isn't working on my gear train. I just downloaded and installed the latest revision (which should be 2.3007c, but shows as 2.30070 in the About window) just to be sure it wasn't an old installation issue. Changes in rotation speed of the master only seem to respond to the slider in the Simulation tab.

In one of your videos, I saw you set the master rotation time after you'd placed the indicators on the various arbours. I haven't finished this gear train to that level yet and am wondering if that has something to do with it.

By the way, when I select a couple of gears I'm still not getting any shaft to shaft distance showing on the screen. I'm beginning to think these issues may have something to do with my Windows installation (Win 7 Pro SP1).

Hi Jeff:

  Only the simulation slider controls the speed of the sim. The setting your adjusting changes the displayed
timing when selecting a gear.It works when you select two gears, one of them the master. For example, load the
clock example, select the escapement ratchet and set a rotation time of it to 30 seconds, now press ctrl and select the hour
gear. Under the hour gear it should now say "Time of rotation : 12 hours.

Hmm, Ill check that shaft distance, it shoudl be showing up. Did you try using f3 to go to full screen to see if it shows.. just wondering if its a screen size thing..
