Functional Gear Limiting Rotation of Simulation/Model

Post by awhisl »

Hi, 1st post:

I am trying to limit the range of the driving gear from 9 to 171 degrees rotation to rotate the output as shown in the attachment across just below 45 degrees rotation. (Shaded region is the useful part).

Is there a way to limit the rotation of the simulation/model from 9 to 171?

I have attatched the polar file and image of gearotic.

Kind regards,

Andrew

Hi Andrew:

Sorry, there is no way to do that as yet. It is possible on the project screen, though the only way
is to have a rack that's short enough attached to the drive gear of that set. Any gear hitting the limit
of a rack can be told to reverse at end of rack and go the other way..then repeat.

I will add this ask to the list though, it may be something I can easily add, some are, some arent... :)
