Art's Lathe

Art:

I saw in another discussion thread that you were looking for a new lathe.  I just purchased a new Grizzly G0602 10x22 bench top metal lathe and I'm anxious to take delivery but I'm on a waiting list till the end of July or so.  It's not a CNC lathe so I have to turn wheels and knobs by hand.  No DRO so I have to look at verniers.  That's OK because I like to do some things the old fashioned way!  I've been spending the last few weeks making a cabinet to support the new lathe with drawer space below.  What kind of lathe are you looking to purchase?

Hi Mark:

Im looking for something about a 10x24 or so.. maybe 10x30.
I dont want CNC, I have a small Emco PC5 lathe for that. I want a manual,
but due to shipping costs to Canada, Ill keep looking locally till an old southbend,
logan, harrison or something like that shows up..  just passed on a myford last week
as being a touch too small, but luckily, Im in no hurry, I have so many little projects
in front of me it could be years till my head clears water... :)
