Art,
Yesterday I exchanged an email with Mark which led back to the forum.
I downloaded the new version of Gearotic and created a double spinning wheel
as per you video....
I am blown away, now I can see my design in "Action" before I build it on my laser cutter.
Is there a way to fill in my .dxf file with colors to create more vivid look at it spinning
in opposite directions?
You never cease to amaze me....
Regards....................Richard

Wow, that looks really good. Im so pleased its starting to work well enough
for people to play. ( I know its a bit difficult to handle and Im trying to alleviate that,
unfortunately its part of a motion controller that was never meant to do so much , the
programs architecture makes it hard to get all these databases to behave..
In answer to your question on color, once I get a bit further I intend to add a video
creation for the kinetics that will do things like color fills for the video output,
but that will take some time while IO try to make it all work more reliably.
Things like vector selection and such are all a bit annoying, Im workin gon
mech's myself though and seeing the troubles and fixing them as I go, and as I can.
Thx for the samples, your doing great!

Yes, I can see where that could mess it up. Generally its best to stick with
as simpel a drawing as possible that gives you the shape in Auggie. The problem
is it wasnt designed as a drawing program so its databases are pretty inadequate
for too much detail. I may one day have to redo the entire thing with what it
can do in mind to clean it up and add the power it requires to do more complex
drawing tasks..
But we'll see how it does.. ( Nice vne by the way. :)

I hoped you would have done the video before I started this project. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntaGTWFCT_Y . You kinematic program would have helped with the length of the crank arms and the location of the side guides. I did use gearotics for the ring and pinion gear . A very fun project

Im still in the build process of a constant torque driven project now, and I will be adding a mech for it , though
Im finding the kinematics is very hard to use with such a complex design of driving a trigger mechanism and
such. The simulation does allow me to experiment with sizes and see how it should work, even though it wont trigger
properly on my screen.... Ill do a video when and if Im satisified that it does work... Im a bit slow
on these things as I take a break when I get frustrated..and go frustrate myself with more code..
