Hi Art: I am fairly new to Gearotic motion, still learning and enjoying every minute of it.
I just down loaded the latest version of Gearotic Motion 2.27100.
I can not find the CNC module shown in your tutorial "Gearotic Thoughts CAM module-you tube".
what am I missing ??

CNC Module
Re: CNC Module
Hi Dan:
Two ways to get there, first, on the tools menu there is a button that says "3-Axis modality" , or you can right click a gear on the tree and select "Send to workbench"..
or you can select an object on the tree and then press the button "Send to workbench" on the properties tab on the bottom of the screen. (ok, so theres 3 ways..) :)

Re: CNC Module
Hi Art: so far so good. When I click on 3 axis modality I get a new screen with a grid and A part outline. There is a box with "output options". Clicking on them gets no action. There is no CNC button.
How do I go from here to getting a Gcode program.
I have Aspire and can take the outline there and get a simple Profile outside.
This is no help for any thing except a straight spur Gear.

You need to send a gear to the workbench before going there, else its empty and nothing works.
Put a gear on the project screen, then select it on the tree. Then right click that gear on the tree and in the
menu will be "Send to workbench". If you select that you should be put in the cnc module with a gear on the screen
ready to be machined. Click the gear to select it. When you do the Auto button will light up, that will generate
a toolpath for all sections of the gear.
OR.. select any profile in the gear and the various path options will light up.. liek outside or inside profile..
In the workbench, once you have selected a gear, press the zoom to object button on the zoom buttons on the
top menu, makes it easier to see what your doing..

Sorry, missed the part about your having a part outline..so the Gear IS there..
just click on it to select it, the options will open up after you do..
